Which do you need more from your driver: Accuracy or distance? Honma Golf has you covered either way with its two new, ultra-fast and sleek T//World TW757 all-black drivers that exemplify the intersection of tradition and technology. The 460CC TW757 D has weight ports in the sole’s back-heel and front-toe, to improve your shot directional control, while the 450CC TW757 S features weight ports in the sole’s front and back that enhance ball spin and stability.
Both versions come equipped with golf’s first carbon-filled slot directly behind the clubface. It adds flex to the lower half of the clubface at impact, for faster ball speed, higher launch and reduced spin. That translates to distance down the middle of the fairway.
“The use of carbon in these two new driver models helps produce exceptional speed that’s going to catch a lot of people’s attention,” says COO of Honma North America, Janeann Lanning.
She may well be talking about your golf buddies, who will be jealous that you're constantly out-driving them. Regardless, there's even more to the clubhead. A carbon crown and titanium frame complement extra discretionary weighting, resulting in enhanced performance and feel. This “Ti-Carbon Fast Frame” incorporates Honma’s latest ribbed carbon crown, vertical rib slot face insert, reinforced crown rib structure, and keel sole for low CG and higher MOI.
Perhaps each driver's best technology is the proprietary Vizard shaft that’s hand-rolled at Honma’s Sakata, Japan factory by “Takumi” master craftsmen. These shafts are famous throughout the golf world for maximizing club performance through advanced carbon materials and unmatched quality control, and are spine aligned for increased stability and control. Plus they’re connected to the clubhead via the company’s own P-SAT sleeve and hosel system that lets you tune loft and lie independently, while keeping the shaft spine and graphics, plus the grip markings, consistently aligned without any performance sacrifice. Base lofts for both models are 9 and 10.5 degrees.
Do yourself a favor and give these new drivers a try. Chances are good that your driving will vastly improve.
