We know that Honma’s TW757 S driver is a breakthrough product that yields incredible bombs off the tee. But it’s always nice to see international golf writers arriving at the same conclusion. In this case, Golf Monthly editor Neil Tappin tested the driver and even pitted it against a leading competitor model. And of course – or we wouldn’t be mentioning it – the Honma was his favorite.
Tappin specifically called it “a hugely impressive performer, both in terms of distance and consistency” and was wowed by its ball speed, flight and the distance it generates – as well as the aesthetics. In his side-by-side testing, he found that the Honma driver out-carried and out-distanced the competitor by three yards. And in his testing, Tappin said that he’d set the driver weights to generate higher spin – adding that “in the lower spin setting, I may have found even more overall yardage.” In his review, he also gushed over the Vizard shaft and that the driver felt fast and lively.
